Although it lacks key features we'd expect on robust photo album software, IncrediTools InAlbum Deluxe is surprisingly flexible in letting you create and share a personalized, one-of-a-kind digital photo album. Whether you want to email your photo album to family members or post your latest creation on YouTube, IncrediTools makes it easy to share all your digital photo albums.

The InAlbum Deluxe software is unique for the reason that it is allows users to create a digital-only album that can be digitally published virtually anywhere. Digital albums created with personal photos and videos can be published and shared via blogs, emails, handheld devices and even social networking sites such as Facebook and YouTube. However, the software does little else and individuals who want to create and order a professionally bound and shipped photo album are better off using more versatile photo album software.

The fact that the software is digital only is arguably one of its most glaring drawbacks but therein also lies one of its best, most noteworthy features: video integration. The software supports a wide range of video and audio formats including QuickTime video files and MPEG files that allows users to incorporate personal videos into their digital albums. Moreover, users can apply video effects such as a sepia finish or mosaic effect to add an artistic touch to their video clips.

Other than video integration, the software isn't very feature-rich; users can only select themes and backgrounds, apply limited effects to photos and add text to pages. There is also an option to create an album from scratch but again, the features and effects available to customize it are rather narrow.

The software itself is quite easy to use simply because it lacks robustness and overall versatility. The entire process to create an album consists of five basic steps and each step is self-explanatory and easy to navigate. We do like how effortless the photo album software makes uploading albums to various digital platforms. When previewing an album, a left sidebar lists all the publish options including the ability to publish to a portable device, make a DVD, publish to Facebook or email.

Our biggest gripe with IncrediTools is the photo albums it produces aren't nearly as polished or professional as its competitors and most of the photo album software applications we reviewed. The software's themes, embellishments and photo effects all seem a bit juvenile and chintzy. So while IncrediTools constitutes a great product to make fun or amusing albums, like children's photo books, we definitely wouldn't recommend the software to create something more elegant such as a wedding album.
